Paul Bunyan service supports the Mayflower Building, which offers incubation space for tech and engineering companies and which features work stations and connected facilities for teleconferencing. Paul Bunyan also supports the Itasca Technology Exchange that connects early-stage and expanding technology companies with high-speed, high-bandwidth network connectivity, data center services, office facilities, capital investment, and business services to help grow technology business.
Rainbow Telecommunications Association, Inc.
Rainbow partnered with local schools, including Highland Community College, to support their esports programs, leading to the creation of the Rainbow Esports Scholarship, awarded annually to one student who joins the HCC esports team.
RiverStreet Networks
RiverStreet built an all-fiber network in King and Queen County, Virginia, which helped connect members of the Rappahannock Tribe.
Shawnee Communications
Collaboration
Shawnee worked with its local hospital in Hardin County to enable telehealth services, making it possible for rural residents to avoid driving two hours just to have certain scans conducted. It has also partnered with Golconda Pharmacy, which has a private room so that patients can have consultations with virtual pharmacists. Shawnee also has partnerships with Gallatin County High School and the Dixon Springs Agricultural Center and installed fiber broadband in the areas surrounding the Shawnee National Forrest.
South Central Telephone Association Inc.
SCTelcom collaborated with local leaders to develop community-wide Wi-Fi coverage called SmartTown Wi-Fi on the Go tailored to the specific needs and concerns of each of its communities. This has helped ensure that residents are able to connect with first responders from anywhere in their community, enhancing public safety and improving emergency response times.
SRT Communications, Inc.
SRT Communications hosted a rural prosperity workshop for enriching communities, helping leaders of Smart Rural Communities in its service territory learn about funding opportunities and resources available from federal, local, regional and nonprofit experts. This included information on economic and community development grant programs, funding for water and energy projects and SRT’s own giving program, SRT Cares.
